Default Polaris Card

So I got a 2005 scrambler 500 4x4 for 4000 canadian. In near perfect condition. (plastic was scratched up) Orignaly the dealer was asking for 4300. But I got it down to 4000 with the acception it goes on a polaris card. I just got the card today, actived it. (they tried to sell me on some monthly fee service of some sort) I go to the bank to pay it all off and the don't reconize that it's even a credit card. Is it even a credit card? How do I pay this off I do not want interest fee's. The teller tried Polaris, Polaris Industries, HSBC, etc etc, nothing turned up. So how do I proceed?

If you have a credit union, see if they'll give you a loan.

My brother in law bought a quad a while back using the Star card.

Customer service is an oxymoron.

HSBC was issued the card. Polaris would have nothing to do with it once it was bought.

Best thing he did was find a credit card company that was offering 18 months of no interest on any balance transfer.

I have the money already. Just unsure of how to pay it off.

no phone number on the back of the card? Wait until you get your first bill then write a check for the whole amount, They shouldnt charge you interest until after the first bill has been processed.

THats what I did with buying my Benelli shotgun at BassPro Shops. and I had my gun interest free for a month. Paid it off with the first bill and cut up the card

You can wait till you get your first bill. That's what I did then paid it off. It is a credit card with 17% interest......what a joke.

The plan that is the best is "All the money down, no easy monthly payments". Using these credit plans nowadays is like exposing your throat to a pack of wolves.

I got nailed twice on the polaris Star card. At least this time i realized the problem only after 2 months than the last time which took me 2 years. One thing i have found is that if your quad is less than 6 months old. Most credit unions will honor it as a new car loan. I'm getting 6% for 5 years. The check is waiting for me when i get home. I chose the 13.9 % fixed from Polaris. What an idiot i was.

just write a check out for the balance and you wont have any more interest. but heres why the card is good in alot of cases when you buy a new wheeler like i have a few times and thru the card you get there promotion deals w/ 0 intrest and payments or other payment arrangements. but to me the best way is that since i wouldnt buy a extendened warranty and they offer a 2 or 3 yr extra warranty for nothing if you buy it w/ the star card. but for god sakes to ever go the full distance of paying it off over time @ 24% or something like that.
