Here is the BEST thing to do...Pull your stator
off, and send it to Ricky Stator, in CA. His telephone number is in the back of EVERY Dirt Wheels Mag. He will check-out, and fix (rewind) your stator for $75.00. The turn-around time is only 2 days, which is great!! Anyway, I think this would be your best course of action (also the cheapest!!)

PS:
visit the 250r forum at:

a LOT of 250r questions are answered there!!

Trailbossman3 - I agree with trcagle. You can find used 250R parts in the back of any DirtWheels mag too. Fortunatley, our wheeler(250R) is still a popular model, and finding parts is usually pretty easy.

I would rewind it before I bought a used one. A used one can crap out on you at any time. You don't know what the life will be. A fresh rewound stator will cost the same as used and will give you a "new" stator.
