Change the oil and hope it is OK. It is probably fine if you did not detect or hear anything odd. Just try not to do it again.

I'd just change the oil as recommended and go from there. Odds are you didn't suck in anything harmful or you would've already known by now, but changing the oil is just to be on the safe side.

There's no need to panic. I have known people that didn't run any filter - ever. I have also seen panty hose substituted for a filter. Highly NOT recommended but they never had any major issues. Not running a filter for long periods will decrease the life of your cylinder.

If it still runs and doesnt smoke, it is just fine. Changing your oil because of it is a waste of time and oil.

I say change it because if any contanaments did get in and survive the combustion process that is where they are now.

Then again I have never missed a oil change on any of my cars/trucks in 17 years. So maybe i am just to picky/paranoid.

Thats me as well. Its not like its expensive or difficult to do it and its just an extra security net in the event something may have been sucked in.

If changing the oil helps, he's got more problems than running without the air filter.

If you really want to clean out the combustion area, get some Sea-Foam and spray it in there.
