sounds like the charge has gone out of the shocks. are they leaking any fluid out of them. not sure if their oil or nitrogen or not.

i don't think the charge in the shock would effect the shock dropping. im my old race car we whent thre shocks all the time and when they were bad they leeked but never would drop they would just move up and down easy. the sprint is wat holds it up and if that somehow goes it would drop. shocks just damper the rebound and compression of the shock

did the top of teh shock possibly break off the mount? or come loose and pop off at teh top? that might do it.

the shock isnt leaking anything. but the spring and absorber are 100% commpresed (sorry about the bad description before) . it looks to me like everything is hooked up. il take some pictures and hopefully that will give you a better idea at whats wrong.

I never saw this before is you atv outside or in a cold garage of it is put some heat on it see if the shock releases idk maby the a arm is seized try picking up the atv and put it on a jack or jack stand and then push down on hte tire to releis whatever is holding it. is the a arm bent were the tube is on the frame? crimped. and for you to get it that compressed you must have done something hard. did you pull a weelie or something? hit a jump?

no im preaty nice to this atv i dont do jumps or wheelies. but i do go through mud and water alot . so some water could of got in there and frose up. i keep it in a non-heated shed. but il put it in our heated shop and put it on jack stands see if it will stretch out a little. by the way hears a picture that i took before it went flat.

i dont see anyway that it would freeze or anything else w/ the springd at full compress. even w/ the shocks junk it wouldnt colasp w/ the ssprings in place. if you have a pic of it compreesed, or is it not al the way but half way compressed would be weak springs and or shocks.
