Considering putting 26" Mudlites XL with ITP C7 aluminum wheels on my AC 650, but I do a lot of riding in the NW Arkansas area with a lot of hills and rocks. Is this a wise move?

 

yes they would be fine i have them on my eiger i ride in minnesota and we have every thing from soft sand trails to rock trails they are 6 ply that helps also
i dont have the radials just standard tires. they seem to ware good also.

 

Same here, on my Eiger too in Tennessee. Lots of mud, rock and hardpack. The Mudlites work well in all of it.

im going to say no imo. i have them on my cat and i find them to be very unpredictable on rock. they have this tendancy to bite hard sometimes and others slip constantly. they suck on wet rock. they dont climb over logs well at all. they are terrible in the snow. although in ak i dont think your worried about snow lol. i will say they are a very tough tire they take a beating they dig holes fast but they are a decent trail tire.and do pretty well in the mud. this is just my opinion. im looking to get rid of them and get swamplites. but for rock and trail i have heard that the bighorns are the best way to go. they may fall a little short in mud but i dont know how much mud riding you do.

 

I run itp terracross radials in all the terrain you mentioned and they are light ,steer well and are durable. I run 25x10-12 on all four corners and they perform well and the ride is very smooth. I ride with a lot of people who run the mudlites and they seem to like them.

 

For this type riding check out the Maxxis Bighorns, we used them in the mountains in Tenn and they really work great!
