Default Rattle on new SP 500 EFI

I took a new 2008 Sportsman 500 EFI with all of 6 miles on it yesterday for a short test drive. I noticed a rattle coming from the front of the atv. Is this a normal occurrence?

It sounded like it ws coming from the front under the rack area. The rack was closed and locked.

Both my 400HO and Hawkeye do it also. Sounds like engine is pinging or detonation, but dealer says its normal.

I had a couple loose things in my front storage that would rattle around when I hit bumps!?!
