I normally have advice for almost everything on here. This one I am watching for an answer also. I have a 400ex carb in my junk box at work that was off of a brand new 400ex around 4 years ago. We replaced everything new on it and it still leaked. Pretty much been used for a parts donar since I condemned it under warranty

Just a thought.......Float problems? Is there any gas inside the float? What condition is the float valve and seat in? Maybe the spring in the float valve?

its a rebuilt carb. its all new. the floats and needle are all fine... the only thing is the floats are all plastic and you cant addjust them.

it wont stop leaking.

I experienced a similar issue on a 400 foreman. The problem that I found is that the pin that goes through the float was very loose, the holes were worn in the carb casting, and since the float was all plastic it could not be adjusted out. Had to replace the entire carb for the customer. (probably could have "rigged" something but that didnt meet my standards for "quality repair"). this might be something to check.
