I would recomend picking up a Clymer manual for your bike. They have lots of pictures and a pretty good step by step instructions. I'm not sure what size jets a 450 had stock but going up a size or two depending on your altitude should fix your problem if an intake is all you have added. I havent heard anything bad about a dial a jet. My understanding is that they work like a vacuum. Other than that dynajet makes a pretty good jet kit

Dyno jet, Jets-r-us, FMF, just look in Rockymountain atv and pick one, they are easy to rejet, all you do is remove the drain screw in the bowl and your main jet is there. Besides, the kits usually come with instructions.

You could, but there is no guarantee it will be as finely tuned as it could be. Sometimes adjust that clip can make a world of difference in hitting the perfect A/F ratio.

adjusting the clip is really easy... There was a video out a few years back... I'll see if I can find it... Maybe I'll post it on youtube if I can... It shows how to re-jet your yfz without taking the carb off... (basically loosen the hoses and rotate it a quarter turn. This gives you access to the bottom.) Makes it real easy... I forget who did it... They made a bunch of neat yfz maint. videos. I don't know if I still have them or not...
