Default 2004 Big Bear Snorkel Lag

I'm getting a little lag out of my 400 big bear once i put the snorkel on it. It's 1 1/2" pvc all the way from the air box. my previous honda recon i snorkeled and jetted and actually seemed to have a little more power. Will jetting actually help it out or is it actually a lack of air from the snorkel?

Thats right. the factory carb is jetted to the amount of gas and air flow, so if you alter the flow of air your changing the mix of gas n air. almost every time you put a snorkel on an atv ,you need to jet.

jetting it would also help with cooling too correct? because since the snorkel its been running a little hotter, im guessing due to a leaner mixture.
