no fire could be anything from bad switch/kill, bad coil or even the stator having issues. make sure theres no bare wires grounding out the ing. as well.

I wasn't able to see any wires grounding out the engine. I have purchased a pulsar coil it should be in today or tomorrow do you think that could be the problem? when I test the Blue wire from the CDI (the one that connects to the coil) I get about .15 OHMS should their be moe than that?

i don't think you can check a cdi box other than put another in and see if it works. they had a recall on some cdi boxes don't know if yours is included.

you would have to have a dealer run the vin. of your bike to check for any recalls. you would ned someone w/ a manual to get the (if any) ways to check the cdi, stator, or coil.

Not sure what quad you have but on the throttle cable down from the thumb throttle there is a rubber but. Under it ther is a nut and screw. It keeps a contact under the throttle housing from making contact. This is not a idle adj. Look under the cap on the housing and see if the contacts are open or cloased. If closed adjust the screw so they are open. You should have about 1/8" play in the thumb throttle.

on mine I had to pull the recoil housing, then the flywheel to get to the stator and pulse coil. you can test the pulser and stator but unfortunately I do not have my manual handy. when you put the pulser on there is a gap between he magnet and coil. i'm not sure what it is supposed to be exactly but it is nearly touching on my 2000 magnum. good luck. i assume before you did all this you checked the plug to make sure it wasnt fouled,no insult intended but sometimes the easiest thing is overlooked.
