Default Size of the Raptor 350

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum/ATV's in general and I'm looking to buy my first one very soon. I was wondering if the size of the 08 Raptor 350 is big enough for someone about 6'1". The only reason I'm asking is because I read an owner's review that said it wasn't big enough for anyone over like 5'8" and that it lacked power. I just want some more input from people who own/have ridden on one.

Well my dad fits comfortably on my Warrior (basically the same quad) and he's 5'11. I think you would much better enjoy a 400 though.

There's a 400 Raptor? I've only seen from 350, to 450 (and the 450, is about the same price as the 700) My alternative choice to the 350 was the Suzuki Quadsport z400.

There's no 400 Raptor. I think he was mentioning the Honda 400 or the Suzuki 400.

I'm 6'1" and the Raptor 350 is big enough for me, but way under-powered compared to the newer 400's. Do yourself a favor and get a Honda 400EX or the Suzuki Z400. The suspension is much better on the 400's compared to the 350, also.

Well, I think I was swinging towards the Suzuki 400 anyways. If its a problem to talk about it in the Yamaha forum then dont worry about it but, what are your thoughts on the Suzuki Quadsport z400?

I'm not a big fan of Suzuki, that's why I have a Yamaha. I don't have any experience with the Z400. But I have read that a lot of people like the Z400. The 400EX is also a tried-and-true machine.

I am 6'7", have been riding my warrior since I was 14 back in 1996. I was about 6'0" then. I guess you could say that I've adapted to riding on machines that are too small. Pretty much any quad I ride is too small, just have to adapt.

Any of the quads will work for you, and you'll be happy with any of hte three that have been mentioned in this thread. I'd lean towards the Z400 though, given the choice of those three.

You could even go for a 250 raptor. The raptor250 is faster then the 350. The 350 is a lak in power and speed but the reason it is "better" is b/c it has AWD and reverse. Besides who actually need reverse and AWD that bad unless you want a sport/utility no offence. Just what i have heard.

AWD...what are you talking about? My buddy has a 350 Raptor and it's 2wd. Sorry if I'm missing something here.

anyways to the TC....I would go for a 400 to be honest. I have a 2000 Kawi Mojave. Stock for stock, my buddies 350rap vs my 250mojave is a very very close race. I take him out, he takes me out...just depends on who gets traction and the distance we race. I keep up with him/stay ahead until I 3rd or 4th gear. and he's got a 100cc's on me. That says alot to me about the 350 raptor

you're the same size as me, and a 400 is perfect.

WHAT???!!! A Raptor 350 is faster than the 250, it's way bigger than the 250, and anything that Yamaha called a Raptor is NOT AWD! It's 2WD.
