Octane Booster for Banshee

Stumped? I guess so...Why would you want to run bean Oil? with many other better options for premix available?
You have not mentioned if you have increased the compression...Thats the only reason you would need any type of higher octane.

I've already done it. And no, my motor didn't blow up. There's way too many people out there that "hear" a certain thing will or will not work and then take it for fact. These forums are not exactly what I would look into for a question like this. You'd be better off contacting klotz (www.klotzlube.com). They sell both booster and castor products.
I think you'll find that the auto parts store brands of octane boosters are not what they are cracked up to be. Read the labels, and you'll see that they increase octane "effect" by reducing combustion chamber deposits, NOT by increasing octane. To actually increase octane, you would be best to mix race fuel with pump gas.
I would add one more thing about bean oil... Castor oil is the best lubricant for two stroke engines that you can buy. Period. If you want something a bit cleaner burning, then there's lots of synthetics, but a motor run on castor will exhibit the absolute least amount of wear compared to any other oil. Search the net for info from klotz, maxima, blendzall, etc., if you're curious.

Sandman:
unless I am reading your post wrong...You seem to be directly answering to my post.
I am quite aware of what castor oil is....I often mix it with the fuel for my rc planes and helis...Though it has to be one of the best ways you could gum up a carb I have ever seen... Synthetics burn much cleaner...that was my point.(it also seperates in temps under about 35 degrees)
I'm not sure you are going to be able to sell me on the good points of an octane booster...OK "fine print" Does not increase octane content. Thats true...But over the years I have experimented...And at one time, even thought it may help. But I'm unsure. I feel if someone does maintenance like rings and carb cleanings from time to time....They are effectively accomplishing what an octane booster is supposed to do for you. Which is to help remove "gunk" build up.
I'm not even saying that castor...or bean oil is totally bad...But for the few extra bucks..Synthetic is the way to go. At least for me. Someone elses ride might run better on bean oil. All machines and opinions are different.
