800 Miss on WOT from dead stop
#1
When matting the throttle from a dead stop only it has a quick hesitation then runs along fine. If i am going say 10mph then matt the throttle it does not do it. It does not miss any other time.

how much of a hestation? does it fall on its face or just a little lag. hows the air filter look? is it real dusty where dirt could have got into the throttle body. is it idling at the correct idle around 1150 rpms? is it throttle or clutch lag. just a couple of questions to help the guys define it.

Just a quick stumble, air filters ok, idle is around 1150, I noticed when I washed it last week when I went to restart it was runnin rough like a connector or something may have some water in it, I put the new clutch springs in today from rick ritter, but all of that is operating perfect. I'll have to check for bare wire or water in one of the connections.

My 08 PoPo 800 is spitting thru intake from a stop to WOT, get up to 2000-2500 rpm and no spitting , check this link out. How many more 08s are doing this? Anyone know the fix or dealers that know about this problem???

how is the plugs look? i havent had any w/ mine yet (only had 170 miles). i wonder if it has anything to do w/ the advanced timing or the new cam they put in? unless one of the sonsors are reading wrong and the ecu is trying to over comensate.

plugs look ok. went to the dealer with STOCK key in once so far said TPS was off and replaced plugs. Plugs were black when went to dealer. Plugs ok now. gonna take it back to dealer. can not understand not spitting all the time and never when taking off slow to 2000-2500 rpm and then WOT. Just when WOT from dead stop and then not all the time. Ive heard from a few 08 owners and theres are doing this too??

Well, I went out today to start cutting trees off the trail from the ice storm Filled the PoPo up with gas and put a lil octane booster in it. I could not get it to spit thru the intake. and I tried numerous times. brings the front end up with me sitting close to the gas tank NO spitting thru the intake from dead stop and WOT. Let you all know if it comes back?? Hope the octane booster is not the cure?

you dont suppose you got a little moisture in the tank? there made to run on 87 octane but some places inthe country i hear gas isnt that good as it has alot of aditives so maybe try the next grade(91 oct)and see if it helps. were lucky up here as we dont have all that epa crap gas as of yet. (cross my fingers we dont)
