My NJ riding buddies are pushing me to go this year and book the rooms etc. I blew up my head last year at the dunes (only ride of the year and 15hrs out) and right now I'm semi DS-less. I'm working as quickly as I can to get my new build going but I want to see a show of hands of whom may be going.

I'm the process of hitching up with my significant other whp happens to live in outside the US and I'm departing today to China to pop the question (she has no idea I am coming). Hopefully she says yes and comes over here in time to join me for Silver Lake.

So who's in? Bigwayne? Hightower? Bombsaint? Anyone else?

I plan on goin sometime this year! Just need a set of rims, paddles and fronts and I'll be good to go! Living in michigan helps, drive for me would only be like 3 hrs or so.

A few of us go once a month, sometimes more. But, with gas prices going to be over 4 bucks in the next month, the only way im going anywhere is if I have at least 3 people sharing gas. Not always easy to get 2 others on the same page. LOL

With that being said, we are planning on the 4th of july weekend once again. Memorial weekend is always a blast to.

Hope to see you there Dave,

Gary

I plan on going a couple of times this year since i was in the big sand box last year and couldn't get to go. The drive for me is like 2.5 hours as well and I am going to see if my budy will let me camp out on his yard and save some $$$ on lodging. I AM REALLY LOOKING FORWARD ON GOING THIS YEAR!!!

Man... you lucky guys... the drive over is as long as flying from NJ to Hong Kong. I forgot about the gas prices. In China now but I fear when i get home the gas pumps have scary numbers to them now. It all depends how soon i make my build and who is going. My buddies all have thier gf/wife with them.. I'd hate to be the 3rd wheel.

Surprised Hightower hasn't chimed in.

I did talk to Hightower around Jan, and he said he would be going and would keep me posted on the dates. I wonder if Russ is going too????

My son and I are planning a trip to Silver Lake the week of June 16-20, he is itching to try out the 440 ex I picked up for him, and hopefully my 446 Wolverine will be ready and broke in then. We plan on taking the ferry from Manitowoc, WI. this time, it will save me 20hrs of driving round trip, and with gas prices, the cost of the boat ride is almost a wash. Plus, 4 hours of relaxing on a boat beats 17 hours of toll roads, Chicago traffic, and butt rash from the hours behind the wheel. Hope to see some of you there !!!

My guys are planning what we do every year... last weekend of July. Weather has always seemed ripe that time of year.
