i think a polaris scrambler would suit you better.

Get a 400ex with a good pipe and tires it is a solid and reliable machine that are very affordable. My experiences with polaris they have a lot of problems i think they are a piece of crap compared to honda or yamaha

i weigh 220lbs and my last quad was a 05 blaster. it had a aftermarket exhaust, jet kit, and a k&n air filter, and it would pull me around anywhere i wanted to go and fast to. ide say a 400ex wouldnt be too small, if i can fit on a blaster then you can fit on a 400ex. but really a scrambler would probably be more comfortable.

400ex all the way....... lighter, faster, WAY WAY better handling and ergonomics.......

Polaris are big and bulky and handle like crap when they have those CVT trans set ups.

IMO the only Polaris machines that are sport machines are the Outlaws and Predator.

and don't worry about being 250 on a 400ex.... I weigh more than you and ride a z400 just fine.

Buy the one that fits you best. I own both and they are both great machines. I am also simalar size as you and I don't care much for the 400ex [to small] so i bought a 700r fits my size much better. You need to decide what you want more speed, trails and some mudd go w/ the ex. If you want one for allot of mud trails and some speed go w/ the popo.Every quad has it good points and bad points.Anybody that tells you one brand is better than another is just plain out pigheaded and not in it for the fun. They are just trying to get under everybodys skin.

I am 6'2" and 220lbs... I fit my 400ex perfect, I find it very hard to beleive the another 20 lbs would make it too small for me.
Anything that is 400cc is meant for a full sized adult.
