Default cdi/rev box

I have a 2005 honda 400ex. I think that the 400ex is a great machine. i upgraded from a yamaha timberwolf 250 4x4. so i think my 400 has plenty of power. i can hit 70+ MPH, pop a wheelie in any gear i want to. if you can find a good used 05 model for around 3000 or less i would definately jump on it. power wise it will eat up just about any machine smaller than it. put it up against suzuki z 400's and you will be eaten... the CDI box i didnt notice any more power than before. it gives you plenty of over rev. honestly with the over rev you will acheive AT LEAST 5 miles per hour on top. if not a little more. i bought my cdi box for i think 60$. but that was quite a while ago, so dont quote me. i do not believe the CDI box is the same for the 99-04 as it is for the 05-07. i am not sure though. as the 05-07 have reverse which the cdi eliminates reverse rev limiter, and you can start it in reverse if you stall it. if trail riding is your main prioity then i would go with any 400cc machine. if you want the fastest machine made, you are looking at the wrong honda, or atleast the wrong CC category.
