Has anybody purchased one of these kits? How do they perform? What about reliability? What has been your over all experience with the company?

I purchased the hard parts to build a 295 kitted motor from LRD. Arlan was very helpful even though he didn't get the nod to port the cylinder. He does seem to have a good grasp on what makes these motor perform well. He's done a lot of them and knows what problems that you can run into and how to find effective "fixes" for them.

The 295 motor can be made to be very potent. Excellent mid range capabilites. It pulls very strong througout without the "peakiness" that can be found with high strung 250's. The overall performance potential of this motor is great.

I've seen one first hand, I live a mile from LRD, and it rips. The guy rides very agressively, and he's never had any probs with his motor. He puts in a piston every winter, and thats about it.
