Will an ATV tow a jetski/pwc?
#1
I am looking to buy an ATV that I will take with me to the jungles of Papua New Guinea. It will be my only mode of transportation besides a jetski/PWC. I'll need to tow it down a narrow path for about a mile. My budget is limited I was looking at the Kazuma Dingo 150 cause it seems to have good reviews. Also the Hensim Hunter 150. Ireally don't want to go bigger if I don't have to.
Also curious about the Taotao b1 110 for getting down the narrow paths and trail. Will that thing hold up ok? Will it carry a 200lb rider?
Any advice? Thanks!

Never heard of a Dingo 150 or a Hunter 150 but I,m sure any ATV can tow a light PWC for a mile . Just buy the one you can get a part for down the road.

What size is the engine and how heavy is the frame built ? I have a 2007 Honda Rancher w/a 400cc engine and it's rated towing weight is limited to 800lbs with a tongue weight of 30lbs. I believe that most mfg's are conservative with their rated numbers.

I figure about any adult size atv will pull a jet ski.Your problem will be the ramp where you put the jet ski in the water.if the ski and the trailer weigh more than your atv then you may have problems. You also need to consider the slope of the ramp and the surface(concrete or mud) of the ramp. Also if there is no ramp and you have to back out in the water or mud then you may wish you would have got a 4-wheel drive.I'm thinking a 150 or 110 may be a little small for what your doing.

Here's the specs I have for the Kazuma Dingo 150
Engine 149cc, 4 Stroke, Single Cylinder, Air Cooled System
Transmission Fully Automatic with Reverse
Dimensions LxWxH 66" x 36.7" x 44"
Seat Height 31.9"
Weight 352 LBS
Tires (Ft)23x7x10 (Rr)22x10x10
Brakes Front Drum, Rear Disc
Suspension Dual A-Arm full suspension, rear swing arm
Other Full Front & Rear Rack. Rear Brake Light & Towing Hitch
Top Speed 35-45 MPH
Again the trailer is about 150lbs and the jetski is 600lbs for a total of 750lbs.
I'd use it to pull the ski down a dirt path for about a mile, then across a small, flat beach. Obviously a bigger 4x4 would be better but I don't have it so I'm wondering if what I have will work?
Thanks for all opinions and advice!
