Linkeroo

I've seen these in a few of the magazines and wondered if they had any real world merit or were just another ploy for sucking our wallets dry.

This looks like it would just stabilize the flow into the carb. OMR has addressed this way back when. Research his thread and save your money for things that have been proven to work.

The ad says it installs on the back of the carb¿

Quote:
Big horsepower improvements at 1/4 and 1/2 throttle
Helps the vaccum of fast moving air
Better engine efficiency through greater airflow velocity
This installs in the back of the carb
Comes new in the box with instructions

Your right on with your advice. I just wanted you to know where they say it goes, mainly to see if it shakes something loose. lol

Theoretically, it may increase pressure at lower rpm, but it would also starve the engine at upper rpm, and possibly burn it up since that is a 'fixed' gadget.

Dual intake manifolds on Toyotas and add-on small block Chevys are a way to increase pressure at lower rpms and still enhance upper rpms too. I've not seen an equivalent for motorcycles yet. Integrating different diameter/length intake manifold tubes at different rpms could get complicated.

But if you could do that, then EFI would eclipse carbs imo. But until that day...
