whats the word on the new honda 700's? how fast will they go? and how do they compare to other quads?

 

i dont think they will be in the drag racing game 2 much b/c of the irs. might be good for gncc races.

 

I think it will be a mistake to compare this to any machine that isn't also IRS. Lots of folks seem to wonder how it will compare to the Raptor 700, but just because the Raptor is a 700, these machines are night and day different....

The Honda is a specialized machine that is going to work best for those who ride deeply rutted trails and very rocky trails, yet don't quite need 4wd. The price they will have to pay is a machine that is 150 pounds to heavy for a "sport" quad.

 

i heard a rumor they will hit 90mph. i dont even think my quad will hit that. and ive raced everything that i can possibly come across. 450R's, rappys, banshee's, and even utilitys and i have outran anything stock, im not bragging, i just like competition and so far havn't lost a race. so if that rumor is true then their faster then the raptor 700R's and that was my biggest challenge yet. please help me squash this rumor.

 

It a plain SOHC motor like the 680 Rincon has with a slight 1.6mm bore increase with the same 102mm stroke by the looks of it. The Rincon only has like 39hp ,thats only 5 hp more than what some 500 ATVs have and tied with a 500 Outlander and is considered underpowered for a big bore class ATV,so expecting this SOHC engine on the 700xx to some kind of innovative speed demon may be a stretch.
