axle boot replacement

Default axle boot replacement

Hey guys i ripped my upper rear left axle boot and was wondering how hard and what is the procedure for replacing it?

im tight on money so id rather not pay polaris to do it.

Not to hard if you have some basic hand tools. I just opend up my service manual and the toughest part, besids removing it from the machine, is getting the snap-ring out so you can put the new boot on.

How about front boots on a 2000 400 Explorer ? I am waiting for a manual but doesn't look too hard !! thanks .

there all about the same in taking them apart. sometimes on the older ones is getting the cv assembly out of the bike. penrating oil works good if they've been in there awhile.

You can get a pair of cv boot plyers from a genral tool store, they are what gm used on there early cv boots. Looks like 2 dimples on plyers
