Default First Day on New Bansh!!!???

WOW,

I picked up my near mint banshee today and rode for three hours in mixed snow and gravel/mud. I live in the Iron Range so pits are everywhere. Traction sucked : ordered new tires, banged the swingarm on some rocks : ordered a guard, plus some more sh**t I thought I needed. Anyway one last question, any suggestions on how to make the thumb throttle easier?? My god, I've been out of the sport for about 5 years and my 01' Raptor was never this hard. I know it has duel carbs (like the raptor) but wow, thumb cramp after ten minutes.

Besides that I have to get used to that two stroke power band again but that seemed to cure itself by the end of the day!!

YOUR THUMB WILL GET USED TO IT . AS FOR TIRES FOR A BANSHEE I WOULD GET 22 IN BEAR CLAWS FOR THE BEST TRACTION OR TRAIL BREAKERS FOR THE BEST WEAR. I GOT ABOUT 6 YEARS OUT OF MY FIRST SET AND I RIDE ALOT ON PAVEMENT AND LOGGING ROADS. THE DOWN FALL TO BREAKERS IS THEY ARE MADE OF HARDER RUBBER SO THEY SPIN A LITTLE EASIER. DON'T RUN A SKID PLATE THY JUST HANG YOU UP. NEVER BROKE ANYTHING.

try lubing the cable...sometimes when they get a little condensation in them, they get hard to pull...

Thumb throttle extension for sure. I'm pretty sure you could trim a little from the carb springs and such too. Definately lube the cables as that helps a lot. Last year my brother was riding without a swingarm skid on his YFZ. Ended his day early with a bent rotor and the added time and expense of buying a new one...
