hey im thinking about buying a 450 and im not sure which one to get which one do you think is the best out of the YFZ450 VS KTM450 VS DS450 VS KFX450

....

 

First, think about what terrain you mostly drive in, or if you race or not

 

Personally I like the yfz450 which is obvious because I that's what I ride. It just feels most comfortable for me. Although I'm dying to give the KTM a ride. Most of what I've read on the KFX hasn't been the best from what I've read it's a little stiff legged.

Go try'm out for yourself see what feels best for you.

 

I'm a yamaha fan myself. They have been around and have the bugs worked out of them now. I havent heard anything about the KTM but knowing KTM's reputation itll be a good choice too. The KFX i am pretty sure is the same as Suzuki's 450 and i've heard good and bad about it. The one you didn't mention was a Honda 450 which would also be a decent choice. The YFZ 450 would be my first choice

 

The Honda 450 is a good choice. They are proven, reliable machines. They don't quite have the power of the others but, that is solved quickly with the HRC kit or other cam/pipe combo.

My bro rides the 450R. He loves the thing. It just feels a little high to me. The YFZ seems to have a lower center of gravity but, that may be just me because mine has a Houser steering stem and low rise bars.

Either way I'd go sit on them all and see what you like. You won't be disappointed by your purchase regardless.

I think that says it all. They are all good quads and personal preference is going to seperate them more than anything. If there was a clear cut winner no one else would sell any.

Of the 450's I have rode I personally like the 450r the best.

 

yzf ud be nuts not to its the best bike i have ever hade the privlige to ride, would be satans first choice for a quad,constantly demonic, asweet machine with the best engine by far

 

YAMAHA they are very reliable and race proven. The hondas are a good bike with all do respect but they lack power and some what in the suspension. Iv heard a lot of problems with the Kawi. I havnt heard much on the ds. The KTM would be a good choice if you have the $$$$$. I stick with the Yamaha its been around a while and has the bugs worked out of them.

 

I would read all the shootouts between the 450's & decide which one is best suited. If I had a choice the KTM 450 would be the choice for me. It has the most goodies out of the box.

 

simple.. if u want the best race quad or top speed and all around power and handleing ..yamaha,, if u want reverse with mot as much speed ull have to go with another quad... but if u want the best race set up outta the storektm if u have teh money but doesnt have as much power
