i have 2001 trx 400ex, ithink iam the 4th owner and it needs a engine rebuild. i'm going to fix it, but i also want a new 2005 trx 400ex, whats your opinion on both?

 

I actually like the look for the older ones. I like the headlights way better than the newer ones. On the 400ex, they haven't really changed that much until this year. If you are looking for a used one, I would find the best deal for the best bike. It all depends on who is selling and how they took care of their bikes. Never buy from a teenager, most of them do not take care of their bikes and they give them straigh up hell..lol No offense to the teenagers on the forum..

 

none taken, ya but i understand thanks i like the look of the older ones too. but i like the reverse on the newer ones.

 

I hav the older style and I like them just fine. But i'd prefer the 05-07 the front end looks mean. I don't like the newest style too much because it looks like a mosquito.
