400ex valve adjustment problem.

Default 400ex valve adjustment problem.
i bought a 400ex off of some guy. heard the ticking noise from the valves so decided to do an adjustment, get down to the valve covers and they are stripped and on very tight. any advice on how to get them off?

Default 400ex valve adjustment problem.
Whats stripped? the hex head on the bolts? Try using a vise grips on them, they shouldnt be very tight. Or use a chisel and hammer to break it loose enough to unscrew them.

the hex head thats on the adjustment cap. i'll try the hammer and chisel thing.
