Also i noticed that there speedometer isent digatle does that bother any of you thats use to looking at numbers instead of a analog stick? And how quick does the 4wd engage after you flip the switch?? thanks

Default a few questions about the outlander 800

Stability is very good. I have the 650 MAX frame and my friend has the 800 regular frame. Both are very stable on hills. They both had no problems in the mountians. the machines can handle steeper grades than my nerves can thats for sure.

I can;t comment on the digital spedometer on the new 08's as mine is old style for 07. but mine has the ability to show TACH analogue and speed digitaly. (display the rpm using the speedo needle and speed where milage is which I do sometimes) and it does not bother me. that is completely a personal preference.

the visco lock 4wd system has supposedly been improved for 08. however I have no issues with the 07. It is basically an "on demand" system that I have found to be very effective. the more you rev the engine the faster the system engages. It took a bit of playing around to understand the finer points of how to really use it to its maximum effectivness. but I find it easy to use and effective.
