i am getting a scrambler and my friend has a new 400ex and i was wondering if i could keep up w/ him. Or not. I want some honest replies not a bunch of crap like on www.atvnews.com. That is about a sorry site. All the jokers r against polaris accept for me and joelpolaris. thanks!

 

Get used to seeing the backend of his quad. Due to the weight and handling of the 400EX, he will dust you on the tight trails, unless, you are a very experienced rider, and he is a newbie. If you and your buddy are into drag racing, you just might have a fighting chance.

 

Granted your not going to be leading the trail but as soon as Mr. 400ex comes up to a mud section don't be suprised if he hands you a tow strap.

The Scrambler 500 can keep up with the 400ex if you rework the clutch,modifie the airbox,and use a K&N filter.The only drawback to the Polaris is it's weight and that can be remedied if you really want to race.
I have a 1998 Sport 400 that I removed the electric start,oil injection system,replaced the floorboards with aluminam net nerfs,added big bore piston kit and cool head,light weight wheels,pipe and silencer and airbox kit and clutching form hot seat performance,new front race struts and bushings.
Now that I have dropped about 50 pounds and done just about everything to the machine I whoop up on 400ex's and banshee's everytime I go to the flat track races and finish in the top three at arenacross.
