Funny thing, the Thunder Cat, made in Minnesota, according to this years rules and regulations,is illegal to ride on any public land in Minnesota. According to the reg book, a class 1 ATV is under 800cc, and less than 900 lbs. , and a class 2 (mostly the side x sides) is 800 cc or less, and 900 to 1500 lbs. No provisions seem to have been made for a 1000 cc (976 for the T Cat) to be on the trails here in Minnesota, unless the law was changed after the regs were printed. Any Minnesota riders got one yet, and been out on the trails? I wonder if the DNR will be looking close enough to realize the cc rule has been broken.

If that is so, the 800cc rule will have to be re-written,or the DNR has already decided to allow the Cat. I would like to hear from an officer or a policeman from MN to see if the class 2 will apply, even though they are almost 200 cc over. So I suppose it won't be long before a sport version of the Prowler will be out, with a 1000 cc motor, to give the RZR a run for the money. Pretty soon we will be sharing the trail with motors the size of small cars !!! What a big change from the 90cc Honda 3 wheeler that started it all !!, or when the "huge" 500's ruled just a few years ago !!

Yep, Okie is right. They've been in Michigan for a couple weeks too. Sorry ManitoulinBoombastic.
BTW, let us know how she is. I'm thinking about one too. I'm sure it will be nothing but positive though.
