I just bought Gio 200cc Beast and still waiting for it to arrive. This is my first ATV and don't know to much about them.I was liking to know what NGK sparkplug i should put in it?How much oil does this quad take? How much gear oil also?
If there is anything else i should do before operating this unit Let me know.
Thanks.

Locktite every bolt that doesn't have a lock nut, and flush the oil and install some Rotella T 15w40w or in cold climate 5w40w since Rotella T doesn't have the friction modifiers and is compatible with a wet clutch like your Gio 200cc, and of course 4-stroke oil works too but is more expensive.

For the spark plug a NGK D8EA OR DP8EA is a direct replacement for these motors. I would also change the brake fluid with some of better quality. Also make sure you take some measurements when aligning the front end during assembly so your wheels will be straight. You will also need to tweak the idle a little after the ATV is warmed up for proper idle. Once everything is together and the ATV has been started let it idle for about 15 minutes before trying to ride, and even then it needs to be broke in slowly. (not over revving the engine etc)
You will also have to fill the battery acid as they come shipped empty, so don't drink the liquid with a straw, thats your acid for the battery. You will also need to adjust the chain as they typically need to be tightened before riding and after it has had a chance to stretch.

Make sure to check the oil daily during the break in period as it will tend to use some getting every thing seated up right. After a week I would flush the oil again and install new once the ATV engine has been run some, then just enjoy your new Chinese ATV !!! ......................................Slydog

Hi guys,

My beast just arrived and i need some help please. The battery acid that is in the container, what is the safest way of getting it into the battery? Also do you need to then charge the battery? Also i noticed there are two black hoses sticking out near the rear of the quad, one is thick and one is bit thicker, where should these two be plugged in?

thanks so much for the help....i am almost done assembling except for those last couple of things!!

My 200cc arrived today.Few minor problems. One that i don't know how to fix is when i go to open the throttle up she hestiates and boogs for a second and then takes off. What should i do to the carb setting to fix this.
I'm also going to try and align the front tires in the morning.

Well i got brave and started playing with the carb settings.I turned the mixture screw all the way in and back out two full turns.I also moved the "C" clip on the needle up one notch so it's on the third notch, adjusted the idle screw and this quad moves right along.I pulled the sparkplug out to have a look at it and she is a nice tan color.
I adjusted the front tires also.
I must say for $900 shipped to my door isn't bad.Me and my 14 year old daughter are having a blast.I will more that likely be ordering another before the summer is over.

To answer your question it is best to trickle charge your battery before using it, but there is some debate as to what type of charger should be used. Read the article below..............

For the oil as long as your on level ground and it's showing full on the oil dip stick it should be good enough.
