Default Thank you.

So a few weeks back I posted on here looking for opinions and advice on what utility ATV to buy. After researching the net, talking to friends, talking to current owners and checking out the bikes for myself I went with the 2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI. Stealth Black in colour with silver bodyguards on the front, back and sides. I also added the 3500 lbs winch, rear silver body guard rack extender, low black windshield and black hand guards. I pick the bike up next week and can't wait to see how it looks. I wanted to say thank you to everybody who replied to my threads and gave me good advice. I really appreciate it and look forward to having more conversations.....Cheers-----RW from Canada.

PS: I will post some pics as soon as I pick this baby up.

From Polaris website:

3500 lbs Polaris Winch

Designed and tested by Polaris engineers, it's the most powerful winch available for Polaris ATVs and for 2008, it is better than ever. New features include a 50' synthetic rope made of 3/16" blue Am steel, a second-hand-held remote control, a new 166:1 gear ratio, zinc-alloy outer housing, 1st stage gears that are stamped, not powder coated metal, and an updated contactor. This power winch also features a 1.2 hp motor and a 3500lb. rated pull, adding incredible versatility. Includes roller fair lead, hook and red strap.

It was only an extra $100 and I like the idea of having the synthetic rope, hand held remote, and extra 1000 lbs of capacity.

Sounds like a nice setup. I'm thinking of putting sythetic rope on my warn 2.5 for plowing, the angle of the cable causes it to wear fast.
