Default utilitys v.s racers

i belive a quad is a quad, but the last time i went riding some new guy was being an a$$hole and was shooting his mouth off about his new grizz 700 being the best. yeah it was a nice quad but then he started saying that utilitys are for real men, and racers are for ******. that makes me mad, i mean i dont really care much for utilitys but i dont go around insulting people. he said that his will go better in the mud and thinks that since its a 700 and mines a 525 that his was faster, well lets see, racers arent built to dig in deep mud, but they are high geared so speed is where we do most damage. i could smoke him in a drag race, even if he will go better in the mud. but anyway im not against any type ao quad but wouldnt this guy **** you off?

Where I ride the utility quad guys are usaully the most laid back and least likely to talk **** over anything. I ride all sorts of quads utility and sport. Have had some of the slowest quads ever made and some of the fastest but never ragged on another guys quad, Im just out there to have a good time.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote> he said that his will go better in the mud and thinks that since its a 700 and mines a 525 that his was faster,</end quote></div>

The KTM 510cc a high performance Motorcross motor rated at 51hp.

The 700 Grizzly is rated at 47hp. Its not just about displacement.

All the new 450 sport ATVs push close to 40 hp, about the same as a 660 grizzly or 680 Rincon.

i mean that made me mad, he wouldnt shut up the entire time we rode. he wouldnt race me, i told him if he wanted to i would but i didnt have to prove anything. at the end of the day i finnaly snapped. i told him to take his grizzly and go screw himself in the mud somewhere. it dont make me mad that he was bragging, i talk big about my quad sometimes, but when he said that racers are for ******, that made me mad. lets be honest i mean most people who start out riding learn on utilitys, because their more stable and easier to ride. so why would a more complicated quad be for ******?

I own both and I keep them both in their respective enviroments. That guy is an idiot and it's a shame that his grizzly has to put up with him... The only thing he got right is that the grizzly 700 is a really nice bike... But it sure as hell won't be winning many straight line races... You should have just put him in his place with a quick race... it might have shut him up...

Were i ride the utility guys are usually all pretty cool. When whe get to a top of a hill they can't believe we made it to the top..... And then offer us something to drink, cuase they can carry two icechest each...lol But we always have a mix. Dirtbikes, sport quads, Utilities.
The big utility guys get a kick out of the dirt bikes, I've heard Would've never believed it until I saw it. many a times.

But yeah I'd of knocked the dude on his *** and asked him if he was ready for a heads up woods race......

Ya, it's apples and oranges. It don't even make since to compare. It's like the guys on the 450 talking crap to a Raptor 350 or the Raptor 700 talking crap on a 400ex. It's like wtf? I ride to ride not race, ya know what I mean.

Most of the time those guys are just trying to use their quad to compensate for the lack of power in other departments. And by other departments, I mean bed. Oooo burn.
