wearing facemask in dunes
#1
Hello all,
Sorry for posting this here (not specifically DS related) but I know that many here ride in the dunes.
Does anyone wear a facemask under your helmet? What I mean is the kind that is cotton or nylon that helps keep out the dust. If you do, does it make you much hotter? Does it cover your nose (I am thinking about sun protection)?
I was lokoing at one made of Coolmax material at rocky mtn. for $10. I was hoping it would keep me shaded from sun and maybe cooler in the helmet. Any expereience here?
Thanks, and great forum!
Chad

Ive got asthma, so I thought Itd be a good idea too, since I mostly ride dusty trails, and use them when doing that.
But sand is totally different, the particles are larger, and theres no need to follow anyone....make you own path, so that youre always in the clean breeze. Trail riding doesnt allow riding to the side, or even riding abreast, but in the sand, its real easy find lines to ride which are clear air.
