Default A couple of problems with 300ex

I'm having a couple issues I was hoping someone could help me out on. First, I pulled the spark plug out yesterday and it was completly wet. A real strong smell of gas. I've heard people talking about leaning it out and riching it up but exactly how do you do that on my model.

Second, my 300ex will not go into Neutral while it is running. I have to turn it off before it will go in. What could be the problem? Thanks

Sounds like the motor was flooded. Were you trying to start it? If thats the case, no rejetting is necesary, just put in a new plug and go.
The clutch issue could be lots of things...abuse over the ears, old oil, wrong oil, misadjusted clutch cable. Will it go into neutral ok from 1st or 2nd, if the motor is off?

Yeah it shifts fine thru the gears with the motor on and off but just will not shift into neutral while running. I thought it might have been the oil so I just recently changed it with the stuff the dealership gave me but its still does it. I also adjusted the cable thinking it was not dis ingauging enough but that didn't help either.

If it finds neutral with the motor off, maybe your idle is a bit high, this can make it hard for the clutch to "fall" into neutral and miss it when you are shifting. If the idle seems a bit high, try lowering it a bit and see if that helps.
As far as the plug, was it wet after you tried to start it, or after it ran a while? you could have just flooded it trying to start. Put in a new plug and see if that helps.
