which atv is faster, a stock 2007 raptor 350 or a stock 1997 warrior 350?

 

aren't they the same quad ?

 

Assuming the 1997 version has been well maintained, has good bearings, normal engine compression, etc., ... then the ATV with the lighter person riding it is going to be faster.

07 Raptor is a little faster, they share alot of the same parts just setup a little differant, the raptor is 25lb lighter, it has a better cam design, better intake tube design, better carb. better muffler design, easyer throttle pull because orf carb. design, easyer clutch pull because of better leverage design, smaller and lighter rear tires, Warrior has a adj. and a little better rear shock, its lower to the ground which makes it alot less top heavy, the extra weight is in the front, better for hill climbing and for turns,

 

Stock for stock and the same weight/experienced rider, the Raptor 350 may be 2-3 miles per hour faster. Basically the same quad with a new look and some refinements.

 

The raptor is faster only because it's lighter

 

The weight of the raptor lets it win. Same basic bike jus newer and lighter, plus plastic
