Default Good test on the itp 589 m/s and mudlite xl

well guys got my real first test on the 589's vs. the mudlite on thursday. the guy i sold the tires to put them on and we went for a dig, the mudlite seemed to be doin well until it came to back out when it could no longer go forward, i had to pull him out 3 times and i never got stuck once, the 589's were able to back out of everything that stopped me and then kept on going. having both sets on my wheeler at one time i can honestly tell you the 589 seems like, at least to me to do much better in the mud and snow, i love the 589

pretty much 06 700 efi vs mine 05 800 efi, only difference was 28's for the 589's and 26's for the mudlites but like i said i had the mudlites on mine before and just was never really impressed with them i do really like the 589's though they may be heavier and more money but i think they are better

Very interesting....always suspected they were a better tire but never had anyone really put them to a test side by side! Thanks for the info!

Thanks for the info. I may need new treads at the end of this year. I had been debating between the XLs and the 589s. I am also considering the Mudlite XTRs. I've heard a lot of good things about them.

My wife has 589's on her ride and I have the Mud Lites
on mine. The 589's have a lip on them that protects from
getting rocks, twigs and misc crap between the wheel and
tire and causing bead leaks. When my Mudlites wear out
they will be replaced by 589's. My tires show lots of wear
the 589's appear to be durable tires and still look close to new.

w/ out a doubt the 589's are a true mud tire and will do better in the mud. prettty hard to compare differnt size tires though as it makes a differnce. they 589's also seem to be a harder compound tire that wears better. ive seen where they ride rougher on hard pac trails, but since savage has them he would know better for sure.
