China - BMX Brand Atv from Best Price ATV
#1
I purchased a bmx 302-402 110cc atv with the front brakes and the alarm system. To start the quad by far exceeded the quality I expected from reading all the negative forums here. However the alarm came wired incorrectly and would not let the starter turn over, I had to spend about 2 hours ripping all the plastics off the quad and trying every wire combination possible with minimal success. I then decided to take the wires off the solinoid and touch them together to basically "hotwire" the quad. I've since then wired in a small switch and attached it to the rear seat bar to function as the starter switch. I still have yet to find the time and modivation to tear the quad apart again and try to bypass the alarm completely. It's basiclly a useless gimick causing a problem as far as I concerned.
The day the quad arrived I attempted to reach Bestpriceatvs' parts department for advice on how to tackle the alarm and of course mostly everything you read is true they won't answer the phone! Suprise suprise!
All in all Bestpriceatv shipped the quad 30 hours after I purchased it and it took UPS Freight 5.5 days to ship. So exactly 7 days after making the call I was unpacking the quad from it's metal frame and unwrapping all the srinkwrap.
The quad runs great, lot's of power (all little too much for my 2.5 year old) so much that I can punch it and lift tire! I'm impressed! Love it and would and will buy another china quad. Although I'll use raceway next time! For $540 to my door for a quad that's outgrown in two years max it's the best buy for me. I expect from the market in Erie,PA where I live I could re-sell the quad used for $400 if not $500 and recoupe almost every penny initially invested! Turn around and buy the next one for almost nothing.
Of course being made in china there is a certain "cheapness" of all the parts used but just like Ford Mustang you have to cut corners somewhere to keep the price where it's at! For kid's theses atv's are perfect.
Anyone know how to bypass the alarm? Thieves need not reply.

just unplug it, this will bypass the alarm and the remote start and stop feature since they are all in one unit, the down side to this is that you can not turn the atv off by the key, you'll need to use the handle bar kill bottom for this.
