Sportsman Throttle Cable Problems??? Need help
#1
I have a 2006 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO. Just jiggling the throttle cable makes the engine rev up and down. This can't be normal.
ATV also continually stalls out even after running for hours. As soon as I let up on the gas it dies on me.
Can anyone help?

Ditto. That happened to me and quite recently, w/my Sp450 from the handlebars go down the
throttle cable to the rubber boot, slide it away and you will notice a thumb adjustable
dial, you can tighten and adjust there.

Hey Stendori, I lowered the RPM's to what you suggested and its
as smooth as all get out!
Thx,

Guys,
I couldn't take it anymore. Had the Sportsman back at the dealer for the third time on the same problem. They have already replaced the carb and throttle cable.
My Sportsman let me down for the last time Memorial Day weekend, when it left me stranded 3 miles up in the mountains.
I traded it in yesterday on a Yamaha Grizzly 700.
Had to.
Needed reliability.
Thanks for your support.
