I also am having fan problems myself. I have done some searching and after reading some of the threads I see that there is a sensor or switch on the head that you could look into. From what I uderstand this also contols the fan. I just replaced the fan on my 500 and it is fine until I put it under water and then it stops and the hot light appears, when I get out of the water its back to normal?

Before I started undoing all the wiring wanted to make sure there was not any switches or other electrial components that could cause these problems. If you find that switch let me know and vise versa. thanks for the reply.

if you unhokked the wire to the sensor then the fan should come on. its hard on fans when there running under water or in the mud.

I had the senor disconnected and the fan hooked up in its normal plug and got nothing. hooked the fan into another 12v plug and the fan runs constant. The fan lead plugs into a plug that comes off the same feed for my headlights, but the headlights r still working. Do u think it could be the lead off of the headlight plug that could be not working. Sorry I'm not trying to confuse anyone, I'm having trouble keeping the leads strait. not sure how to check for current in the plugs, so I can eliminate them. this has been going on for about the last month now, and the dealer wants 200 off the top to find the problem plus parts. thanks for yalls reply anything helps.
