[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img] bought my girl a 2006 leftover(still new in crate) 200 ralley brp,seems like a good 4-wheeler expect when she goes through water holes and splashes the engine it dies like you cut the switch off?I took all the electric connections apart and used die-electric grease on everything used clear silicone on the coil connectors,water-proofed everything i could see and it still dies in the water,got it home Sunday and you can spray water on the front of the engine and it will kill it,I can't see nothing loose or anything wrong took it back to the dealer today(still under warranty) for the second time.Anybody have this problem or any ideas????

 

thats really odd. I don't know a lot about Electronics, but sounds like a bad ground maybe? almost as if the kill switch is shorting to ground? although, if it were that, that would probably blow a fuse... hard to say. I'm sure the dealer will fix it up. next time you are at the dealer get the hose out and show him. then when he is done fixing it get the hose out and test it before you take it home.

 

well,dealer kept it three weeks and checked all electrical connections and cleaned and adjusted carb,ran good till we went 4-wheelin sunday got three miles from the house and it quit again?didn't run through any water but it was raining?took it back today for the third time and they said they would change all electrical components coil,cdi box,wire harness and whatever else they are on it?he was good enough to let my girl pick out a accessory for it for free for all the trouble we are having out of it(new windshield for it) and also told me if this didn't fix it he would give me another brand new one for it!any body else want to chime in on the problem it got me baffled????

 

kept it another week again,they replaced all the electrical parts and thought it was fixed but the first water hole she hit it died again!called the dealer they said bring it back and get a new one,can't say enough about the dealer they tried?they are mountain motor sports in pound virginia,they stand behind there products!!

 

well they gave me a new one and we took it out the first waterhole she hit it died just like the other one?Fixed it this time though!took it back and got a polaris sportsman 300!no more brp products for me.
