Default Kodiak Mods ? What to do, what to do???

I have my 03 Kodiak torn down to the frame.. Now is the time that if I need to do any mods, I shoud start thinking about it...

So, give me some ideas before I put this thing back together. It's being repaired because it rolled down a canyon... most parts have been put back together or have been bent back..

What should I or what can I do at this point?

THANKS

Better shocks for sure! I know that front shocks eye-eye 14.25" So my thoughts are if you want a bit of a lift - find a Yamaha ATV that has 15.5" or so eye-eye length.

You are better off with a longer shock than a lift kit itself I know when it comes time (or maybe sooner) to replace my shocks - I will definitely get longer ones

Default Kodiak Mods ? What to do, what to do???

I have an '01 Kodiak 400 4x4 and an '01 Grizzly 600 4x4 and I've been looking at the catalogs and I've seen some performance upgrades for these quads. . .you know the normal. . .high flow air/oil filters, clutch kits, a couple of camshafts (application for a 400 Kodiak and a 660 Grizzly but not a 600 Grizzly), exhuast, etc.

I've got a couple of problems. . .I'm new to quads so some of the names are unfamiliar to me. . .I know K&N and Yoshimura from riding street bikes, and I recognize FMF and ProCircuit because they are large companies. . .I know who Bill Ballance is from working in the service department of a dealership when I lived down in SoCal, but I don't know anything about reliability, durability, quality of parts when it comes to most of these companies. . .who makes the good stuff when it comes to Kodiak's and Grizzly's? Or maybe it's easier to tell me who to stay away from. . .for clutch kits, ball joints, and CV joints I've seen EPI in a lot of catalogs. . .and for utilities it looks like I'm limited to Yoshi, HMF, FMF, or ProCircuit for exhaust. . .what would you guys suggest. . .or where can I look?

Are there companies who specialize in utilities for performance upgrades??? I know of Warn and Moose who make trail type stuff. . .but I'm pretty interested in the new Utility racing classes so I'm looking to up my performance vs. increasing the utility of my utility!

Thanks for the help!
