this bike is new to me my question does the drive pully[tranny side] have a gap in it in the middle or are the 2 surfaces suppose to meet?. my belt is loose at an idle but fine while driving it is the right size belt. i know it is suppose to open for belt change but it rides about an inch and a half into the pully i dont think this is right i want to pull it apart and fix it this comming weekend want to know what u polaris people think it needs im a yamaha boy and they dont have snowmobile primary drive systems.

 

At idle the clutch should be open and the one on the tranny should be closed. When you start going the clutch should start closing and the tranny side should open from the belt pulling down in there.
