Polaris 3500 Winch - remote cover/cap
#1
Does anybody else have an issue with the cover/cap staying on for the winch remote on the Polaris 3500? I had to put a Velcro wrap around the winch control and cap to keep it from falling off.

nobody with the Polaris 3500 winch w/remote? This is the corded remote that plugs into the winch handle bar control. The cap for the jack won't stay on for me.

Yes I got my 700x2 with the 3500lb and the cap will not stay on it and this was from the show room the day I P/U. Have not tryed anything as of yet as it overheated 4 miles in, on the first ride and the shop has not fixed it as of yet. 10 days now. 10.000 with the add ons and there it sits. Trying to keep an open mind as this is my 4th new Polaris and I stand by them as I have never been left in the woods. Oh by the way I limped out this day but it took some time keeping it cool.

Thanks Mossy. It's not a huge deal, but it is kinda sheety - spending nearly 10k and having such a lack for attention to detail. I am also still having an issue with the grill/winch cover staying on. I went back to the dealer, got a new grill, but everytime I open and close the front storage the grill pops off. Again, no huge deal, but for 10k you think the grill/winch cover would stay on
Let us know if you find a cure.

same thing here, Just got the polaris 3500 lb winch today
The female remote plug in port rubber cap wont stay on even with the machine sitting still. Poor design on this part. I was however impressed with the factory winch prewire and ease of installation with the polaris winch. I first bought a warn 3000 winch with a cabelas mounting bracket. Returned it because the bracket didnt accomidate for the angle of the frame where the winch mounts, which caused the rollers to point upward. It didnt come with the right bolts to mount and the wiring kit was generic and not designed for everything to bolt right up like the polaris winch. I recommend the polaris winch for polaris machines.
