I have a 97 YZ250, runs great... however its sometimes a bit difficult to start.

It has a FMF pipe and it seems the kick lever hits it, this means you really dont get the full motion of the kick lever in order to start it (3/4). In other words since it hit the exhaust i can only do short kicks to get it started, is there an aftermarket level for this? or anyone got any clue on how i can fix this?

try re adjusting the way it's mounted, did you lay it over n bind the exhuast or mounts?

 

ive tried placing it in a different way, doesnt help ill take a pic tonight, i bought it this way but i see no damage
