Default Kazuma Falcon 250

Hello I'm new to this forum and have been enjoying alot of the posts and am really looking for some help. I have just purchased a new Falcon 250 and after its runing for a few minutes when you go to throttle it she just bogs and you have to play with the throttle to get it moving it idles great. I have adjusted the valves, cleaned the carb and check the choke as per KP support with no change. If anyone has any info on muffler mods etc... I love to see them.

Peace

you need to check the valve in the gas cap. just remove it that should help. then go to a 40 pilet jet and a 125 or 130 main jet. I have a 42 pilet jet and a 140 main. runs real rich. but runs good.

OK thanks for the advice I'll give that a try. Tonight I adjusted the mixture screw and taped off half of the hole in the air box and made a huge difference. Where can I get those jets?? Also does anyone have a part# for a K&N or Uni filter so I can eliminate the air box.

Peace

go to the honda dealer. the motor is the one off the 1992 honda helix scooter. I pulled the jets and took them in to make sure they gave me the right ones. but I will almost guarantee that the gas cap vent will will make a big diffrence.

How did you remove the check valve. Now when I hit the throttle the red temp light comes on?? The plug is white and I have the mixture screw backed out 4 turns. I don't know what else I can do. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. If anyone has a setup guide for a new quad I would love to read it. So I know where to start

Thx

all the metal pieces in the gas cap just pull out. only thing left is the rubber gasket. It is running lean becouse its not getting gas becouse the valve is stuck. there is no kind of manual. that I found.the mixture screw is just for idle it should be at 2 to 2 1/2with it at 4 screws out you are making the lean codition worse. in is richen and out is lean.

Sorry to be a pain but your talking the cap valve is stuck? I took it off quickly and it rattles. Do you just pull the metal off or is it screwed in? Thanks for helping me out

you might have to twist but the only thing holding it in is the rubber gasket. if its rattling it might not be the problem. the little piece that is rattling is the shut off. if it rolls the pin goes into the vent tube and stops the gas from coming out. take it out any ways. the jets have to be changed. this might help you its a good article on the motor.

you might have to cut and paste this to the browser.

Went with a 125 main and a 40 pilot and its still running lean. And when I hit the throttle now the red temp light comes on (not sure if it was doing that before) Any ideas on what else I can try?? It runs awesome until the choke comes off. If I restrict air flow from the air box by half will that do any damage??

Peace

did you makesure that the carb was clean? the mount that holds the carb is rubber check that for cracks. if it is bad it will cause a lean mixture by letting in more air through the cracks
