Default RECALL ON 2008 TRX500 EPS MODEL!

I've already dealt with several of these already. Removed the unit, Honda gets it next day, inspects and/or repairs, and then I get it back the next day. If only all of Honda's numerous recalls in the past 3 years went as smoothly.

The binder in which I keep ONLY recall campaignes and tech bulletins is ridiculously thick in the Honda section. Twice as thick as Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, KTM, and ATK.... COMBINED. It wasnt always this way. And this only the ATV side of things.
The same thing has been going on with the motorcycle lineup this past year.

Why this is happening with the most experienced of all the OEMs is a mystery even I have no answer to.... But getting a recall for a company's product more than once a month is totally absurd and have never seen anything like it.
They are slowly gaining a reputation in my eyes very similar to that of Polaris in the early years.
Where is quality control?

A very sad fact is that nearly all the problematic Honda's over the years are the ones built here in the U.S.
Even the TRX300,...which changed little from 1988 to 2000, were more reliable in the early years. Most problems, faulty parts, and other errors came after 1995.

Back in the day I thought Honda made the best machines going but I now think that Yamaha is starting to really come on strong and not looking back. I can attest for one line of bikes that they make and that is the sport atv line. It just seams like every bike except maby the Raptor 350 is in it's prime right now. The YFZ is still on top of its game w/ a poss all new one next year. Honda allways seems to be in the mind set if it ain't broke don't fix it but these days you either leading or following and Honda seems to doing the latter of the two!!!!

Just my thoughts.

I've done several EPS recalls just on unsold units .. I'm not sure what we're doing with customers units (I'm sure some have got there notice by now) .. Anyway I don't know where KNOWSALOT lives to get that fast of turnaround LOL but mine is approx. 1-2 weeks so I'm sure there's going to be some unhappy customers ..

Here's a couple of pics of 2 units getting ready to be shipped back to Honda Canada ..

This is one way to look at it, but there "might" be two sides to the coin?
Could Honda be stepping up to the plate when other manufactures are giving their customers the finger when their sh@#@#tty designs fail?
I have read where Polaris has done this time after time. In my mind their product has gotten way better. But do they take care of their customers better? Not from what I have read.
As a whole, I think Honda takes care of their customers better than most other companies. Is this one of the cases? Only the pro mechanics can answer that.

Comments from the mechanics?

HM,
I've been sending them directly to the assembly plant in South Carolina.
