Predator Chain Noise
#1
Hi,
I've seen several people and articles mentioning that predators have a whining type noise coming from the output shaft / chain roller area. My barely used '06 has had this since it was brand new. It is especially louder when you let off the throttle. Anyone out there know the exact cause? One guy mentioned replacing his worn chain helped him, but where mine did this since new....
Thanks

My 07 made a horribly loud noise. My 05 didn't, so I asked the mechanic and he said it is normal and it will gradually get quieter with more use. He was right, got about 15 hours on it now and it's what I would consider normal. He really didn't have an explanation as to why it is so loud....so now you gotta go out and right that sucker more! Darn it! LOL!

Thanks for the answer. Sounds like the easiest repair ever!!
I just bought it last week from a kid who bought it new and clearly never used it... and he told me the noise was always there.
It will get used now for sure.
