Default Some one please help!

i have a 99 blaster 200. 4th gear is completely gone. here's what its like. 1st gear is like 1st gear. 2nd gear is like 2nd gear. 3rd gear is like 3rd gear. 4th gear is like neutral. 5th gear is like 5th gear. and so on. i asked a reputable place on what it could be. they told me the forks weren't grabbing. but i think something is shattered because when its in 4th gear and the clutch is in it sounds like a million pieces are moving around. what could this be? what is to fixing it? is it worth a newer transmission?

You would have to take it apart to see what it is, could be a few parts that failed, not just 1. If you keep riding it, you will only do more damage.

If you are not sure, it is a wise decision to let a pro repair it, it will cost more but it could save you in the long run.

Might be cheaper to find another bottom end than have a repair done like that in a shop. In fact it seems likely to me, a Blaster motor with no topend cant be too expensive.

It probably is the forks not grabbing each other and the metal grinding together stop riding it and get it fixed before you kill everything else in that gear box

yea im pretty sure u prolly bent or broke a shift fork, or maybe messed up the shift drum, if you dont know anything bout splitting cases and messin with all the shafts, gears, boss;s,clutch parts, bolts, nuts lol then deff get a yama shop to do so you dont wanna play games when it comes 2 parts in the low end,u could ebay a lower end but then again how u gonna know wuts wrong wit that 1, plus the price of that and being shipped vs getting wut u alrdy have fixed shudnt be a big price diff, plus ull have the assurance of knowin that yours is good 2 go after fixing instead of taking risk of buying another **** can low end, the forks arent 2pricey i dnt think
