Does anyone have a good idea if the 700 will fit on a standard 5 by 8 open trailer?

I know the dimensions listed say it will just looking for real info?

Thanks

it should w/out any issue. i can put 2 full size wheelers on my 101" x10' and they side by side. both have 27" tires which is is 12" wide so there a little over regular width.

If you are talking about the X2 700 it should fit in a 5x8 trailer. They are 93 inches long. I had an ATV specific trailer that was rubbing some of the plastic because it was 93 inches wide where the ramps folded up to make sides. I got an open (skimobile) type trailer because of this. The regular Sportman quads are a good bit shorter, so you should be fine with a 5x8.

I use a 5x8 trailer for my 500 and have plenty of room to spare. I believe the 700 is the same size as the 500.

I fit a 700 EFI x2 in the back of a Nissan Titan with the tailgate down, no problem. I don't think you will have any issues with your trailer.

The X2 is less than 8 feet and the Touring is shorter than that so all Polaris quads will fit on an 8 foot trailer, or in a long bed pickup with the tailgate closed. I love the 5x8 trailers because you have a foot of wiggle room side to side. I even mounted my spare tire inboard instead of hanging it off the outside. If I clear the spare by an inch when I load, I know I'm dead-center.

I brought my new '08 SPortsman 700 x2 home in my 5x10, but would have fit on a 5x8 trailer...

I have a 700efi and a 5x8 trailer. It fits just fine. I have 1.5" wheel spacers all around and 27" 589's. I put a Razor on there and it was all that trailer wanted. I couldn't put my tailgate board on there with the razor. With my sportsman I have about 12-18" behind the tires.
