I live in wisconsin where we get a lot of snow, and someplaces i ride are muddy. I was looking at itp 589 m/s but wasn't sure if these were okay to use on a sport atv cause they are listed under utility. also what tires for sport atv's are good for snow/mud?

ITP 589s will not fit on your ATV. GBC Gator tires are the way to go. Buy 22" tall Gators and you will be all set for as much mud and snow as you need to get through.

 

Ya i agree Gators are the only tire that is extremely good through thick and or watery mud and snow. There are other tires, but those will not fit on your ATV.

What size tires do you have or want to get. my suggestion is to keep the same size tires so, what size tires do you have now. The Hight,width, and the rim size and then you can look on google for websites that have your tire size for your new up coming tires. or give me your dimensions and i will try to help you out .

i have the stock yfz 450 tires and rims.
on yamahas website it says they are 21" 7-10 and 20" 10-9

 

MUDSHARKS are a great tire for the slop. My brother ran them on his Z400 and now on his 525 Outlaw. He rides with us on our 4x4s and has no problems with traction. They come in a 21" as opposed to the smallest GATOR at 22" Check them out...

You may not be following this firum anymore but if you are, you wont have to change your rims. Just buy 22" for the front and rears and you should be fine!!

 

589s will weigh too much!!!!!!
i would get mudlites or something.

if you have alot of powdery snow i heard paddle tires (for the sand) are good for the snow
not mud tho
