Default yamaha raptor 660 backfiring

i have been having some problems with my raptor. lately in bout second gear and up when i try to get on it it bogs down and almost dies. then if i decel it backfires like crazy and dies. i took it somewhere but the guy didnt fix it at all. all he did was cut a hole in the top of my airbox and thats when it started backfiring real bad. any ideas

one of my bolts is busted on my exhaust where its attatched to the header. could that be part of the reason. i was reading somewhere that sometimes if ther is an exhaust leak that it will cause it to backfire

does it only do it when you hit about 1500 rpm's if so it sound's like your reverse sensor is bad

there are two sensor's down buy the gear shifter one is for the neutral and one is for the reverse all you have to do is cut the wire and ground the wire from the cdi

whats the cdi haha. its by your battery more towards the back. it hooks all your wires.
but anyway could this be a problem with mine because i thought it was the jetting and i still havent jetted it but the reverse light blinks on when i shake the wheeler or drive it.
